Hi friends my name is Taylor, and I am a Georgia based wedding photographer and educator. I am so glad you found my blog and I hope you find it helpful. This blog is the second in a series of three. In these blogs we will be discussing questions that are important to ask your wedding photographer. I know hiring a wedding photographer can be a huge step while planning a wedding, so I hope you find this blog helpful!

  • Do you have a sample timeline?

I want to start this point off by saying every photographer runs a wedding day differently and that is why it is important to know how they run a wedding day. Asking for a sample timeline allows you to see how much time a photographer sets aside for each event of the day. For example, I typically set aside 30 minutes for bridals and bridesmaid photos. This allows me to not rush through them while capturing plenty of different poses.

You can ask for a sample timeline to see how a typical day is broken up, but every wedding day is different. Make sure you are on time and not running behind as well. If you run behind it Is not the photographer’s fault and should not be blamed if something is missed.

  • What is the most important part of a wedding day to you?

This simple question can tell you so much about your photographer. If a

Photographer tells you their only concern that day is to capture pretty images that may work for you but that does not work for most. When a client asks me this question, I explain to them that yes giving beautiful images is a huge part of my job however it is not the only part. As a wedding photographer I am there to capture moments, but I am also there to be a helping hand and friend. I want to create an experience for my clients that they will cherish forever.

  • How many images do you give back in our final gallery?

This is another great question to ask because it varies with each photographer.

Knowing what you are getting with your wedding photographer is extremely important.

With all my packages I offer a minimum of 50 images per hour. That is the bare minimum that my clients will receive back.

I hope this blog helped you with potentially hiring your photographer! Check back in next week for part three. If you have not found one I would love to be considered!
