Hi friends my name is Taylor, and I am a Georgia based wedding photographer and educator. I am so glad you found my blog and I hope you find it helpful. This blog is the 3rd of a series of 3. In these blogs we will be discussing questions that are important to ask your wedding photographer. I know hiring a wedding photographer can be a huge step while planning a wedding, so I hope you find this blog helpful!

  • What is your turn around time for the final gallery?

This is so important to know, and every photographer is different. Turnaround time is the time it takes your photographer to finish. My full galleries take 4 – 6 weeks while some photographers take around 8 weeks. It is important to know this so you don’t bother your photographer with wondering when the gallery will be finished. You will also have peace of mind knowing how long it will take.

  • Can I give you a list of photos I want?

Some photographers don’t like this however if there are important things that a bride wants me to capture I 100% encourage them to give me a list. My number 1 priority in my business is to make my clients happy and missing something they wanted will not do that! So yes, please give me a list I encourage it!

  • Can I have the raw images?

This is pretty across the board as a firm no. Most photographers do not give raws for a few reasons.

  1. The files are rather large
  2. They don’t show how the final images will look
  3. A lot of them get tossed out

As a photographer our biggest form of advertisement is through our clients. If a client shared a raw image on social media and tagged us in it someone may think that is our final work.
