Starting a photography business can be very exciting, but it can also be overwhelming! If I could go back to the beginning of my journey as a photographer, there are 7 things that I wish someone would have told me.

First, give yourself credit for even the smallest accomplishments; no matter how big or small your goals are, it’s worth celebrating. This business is hard, no one said it was easy, but with dedication and passion it can be so rewarding.

Secondly, take your photographer business seriously. Treat it like a real business; have structure and watch as you slowly grow and achieve success! Invest in yourself and in your business; invest time, energy, and money into the things that will help you grow.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to not quit! There are going to be times where you feel like giving up, but perseverance is key. The final thing I would suggest is to make God your CEO; He sees the bigger picture and will lead you to success in your photographer business.

If I had these 7 pieces of advice before starting my photographer business, I know it would have set me up for a much smoother journey! Take it from me, photographer friends- you got this! Follow these tips and watch your photographer business soar. Good luck out there!
